Meet Kristen

Kristen is a business attorney committed to helping Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, and other people of the global majority, LGBTQIA+ folks, women, and other systemically oppressed groups protect their work and themselves as their business and impact grow. Previously, she worked as general counsel of BlogHer, a venture-backed startup that grew to become the largest women-focused digital platform on the internet, paying out $36MM to network members between 2009 and 2015. She built her law practice on paying it forward 8 years ago, reinvesting at least 10% of profits in organizations supporting racial, gender, and environmental justice, and she now offers a DIY contract template shop in addition to her flat-rate, transparent pricing for strategic legal advisor services.

When she's not obsessing over implementing the finer details of strategic legal plans and negotiating contracts, she's wrangling two little kids and her spouse on muddy hikes and sandy beaches in both Greater Boston and the San Francisco Bay Area. She's a retired half marathon runner and an aspiring gardener — having succeeded at not causing the death of strawberries, Chinese broccoli, tomatoes, figs, tangerines, chard, cucumbers, and lemons.
