Phil is an Emmy Award-winning media executive with network television experience since 1992. Frequently sought-after speaker for various conferences and seminars, including the NAB annual convention in Las Vegas. Founded Alongi Media Solutions (AMS) in 2009, which quickly became a force in the world of media consulting. Phil has a natural ability to coordinate and handle large and difficult projects under stressful and challenging circumstances, all while remaining highly competitive and sensitive to budget issues. He is also a terrific motivator and team leader.

In his capacity as Executive Producer of Specials for NBC News, his job was to oversee breaking news, special events, and political coverage for the NBC network, MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo, MSNBC.com, and NBC News Channel. This included all of APEC's annual meetings, including two APEC Summits where he led coverage on location: Blake Island in 1993 and Osaka in 1995. He worked closely with event organizers to secure coverage plans for the network, built a coalition of White House producers and regional journalists to maintain an edge on NBC's competitors, and oversaw all of the network's production from the Summit.
